About Me

I am a proud Canadian from the Greater Toronto Area, and am also pleased to have lived in Miami, Florida for a few years while in High School.

I am a graduate of Heritage College & Seminary in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, class of 2002, with a Bachelor's Degree in Theology

I have enjoyed 23+ years in full-time ministry as a youth pastor, church planter, lead pastor, and lead equipper of a house church network.

I married my best friend and high school sweetheart, Tanya, in 1999, and we have been happily married for more than 24 years! (The first few years were spent learning how to be happily married, lol). Tanya is the Chief of Staff at a Christian Non-Profit organization and has been my rock and my partner in every endeavour I've taken on over the years.

Tanya and I have four kids, aged 17 to 25, and we are incredibly proud of each of them. We're also grateful that they still enjoy spending time with us (or they are great actors)!

I am a certified iEQ9 Enneagram Coach for individuals and teams, and I love equipping people to use this powerful tool that helps us grow in self-awareness, better understand others, and customize our approach and communication with others.

I am a hardcore Survivor fan (the CBS reality TV show) and regularly apply with hopes of making it on the show and winning it all!

I am an avid CrossFit enthusiast and have learned so much about life and community from it

I was scouted as a pitcher by an MLB club at just 16 years old, before following God's call on my life to be a Pastor, and I remain a huge MLB baseball fan (Go Jays!)

My pet peeves include people who fail to signal their turns, those who listen to music or videos on their phone's speaker in public, kids who drive their electric scooters on the sidewalk at speeds of 25+ mph, and judgmental religious individuals who believe they are superior to others.

I have been a worship leader in every season of life since High School, and have also rocked out with bands that play in our local pub, covering songs from artists like Coldplay, John Mayer, U2, Phillip Phillps, Tom Petty & Ed Sheeran.

I’m a huge fan of Pixar movies—though my family teases me for tearing up at nearly all of them. I also love classic comedies like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Dumb and Dumber, Tommy Boy, Zoolander, Talladega Nights, Christmas Vacation, & Elf.
